“I am so pleased to be writing this letter, as it gives me an opportunity to express how much I appreciate the contributions Lara Tomhave has made since joining Animal Help Now in a volunteer capacity just a few months ago. Lara hit the ground running, filling a critical void on the UIUX team helping to develop Animal Help Now’s new pet rescue app (PHar - Pet Help and Rescue). PHaR will significantly improve the chances in the United States that our beloved pets and animal companions will survive disasters such as wildfires and floods. Lara stepped into this challenging environment - a group of mostly volunteers creating a complex smartphone app under tremendous pressure to deliver the beta iPhone app - and immediately had positive impacts not only on our product but also on energizing the team with her positive attitude, smart communication and reliable, professional deliverables. “Lara Tomhave has worked for me at Belk for the past 6 years as an apparel designer on both the Crown & Ivy women’s and kid’s design team. During this time, she was hard-working, dependable, and passionate. Lara was an incredible asset to the team. She was always cheerful and willing to assist with any task. In addition, Lara was motivated and extremely eager to learn and take on new challenges. To this end, she took on ownership of baby apparel business in addition to the girls 7-16 side as well as cross-functional and vendor communication. She strived to be always nimble and thoughtful.
